At the Core of Everything I Create
Dr. Charlie Hueber
I’m Dr. Charlie Hueber—but titles only tell part of the story.
I’ve spent over two decades in higher education, working my way from an enthusiastic orientation leader to Dean of Students and ultimately Chief Student Affairs Officer. Along that journey, I earned a doctorate in Educational Psychology with a deep focus on human behavior, motivation, and mental wellness. But more importantly, I built a career—and a calling—centered around helping people and communities grow through change, challenge, and reinvention.
From first-generation college students to seasoned professionals, I’ve guided thousands through identity crises, emotional burnout, leadership hurdles, and personal turning points. But it wasn’t just the job titles or degrees that shaped me—it was the questions I kept asking along the way.

Nerd Stuff
My research has always centered on what I believe to be life’s most important work: social integration, identity development, and belonging. Why do we connect? Why do we pull away? What makes someone feel seen, safe, and valued? I’ve explored those questions through countless interviews, national presentations, and more than two dozen published works—culminating in my latest book, Swipe, Match, Love: The New Rules of Modern Dating.
That book blends academic theory with real-life storytelling, pulling back the curtain on what it’s actually like to date, heal, and try again in a world of filtered photos and emotional fatigue. (Spoiler: real love still matters—but swiping is a minefield, and ghosting is a symptom, not a strategy.)
At the end of the day, I’m a coach, a creative, and a human who believes that growth isn’t linear—and connection isn’t optional. I’m here to help people find their footing again, with tools that are rooted in research but built for real life.
